Introducing “Dragon Eating Cheese” — William’s First Ever Vibe-Coded Game 🐉🧀✨
Every parent has that moment when the past quietly taps the shoulder. For me, it arrived in the shape of a six-year-old boy, a glowing tablet screen, and a surprisingly opinionated dragon named Drago. What began as a simple experiment with Vibe Coding and Claude Code quickly evolved into William’s first fully functional game — a playful remix of the classic Snake concept, proudly titled “Dragon Eating Cheese.” 🎮💛

The naming journey itself felt like riding a roller coaster of creativity. 🎢
We started with the classic Snake, then swapped it for a Mouse because munching cheese sounded cuter. 🧀🐭 But a six-year-old’s imagination never stops at “cute.” Before long, the Mouse leveled up into a Dragon — instantly nicknamed Drago — and suddenly we had a majestic, slightly confused creature whose mission in life was now to chase cheese. Why? William shrugged and said: “Because it’s funny.” And honestly, he wasn’t wrong. 😂🐉
Then came the grand debate:
Should Drago glide endlessly like the old-school Snake? Or only move when the player taps an arrow? William — an energetic boy whose version of “standing still” looks like a hummingbird on espresso ☕🐦 — firmly argued that Drago should always be on the move. “Dragons should fly!” he declared. And so Drago flies. Constantly. Across phones, tablets, and anything his friends can grab, thanks to the mobile-friendly tweaks he tested with great enthusiasm. 📱🚀
Watching him build this was a surreal, warm kind of déjà vu. Years ago, this exact style of grid-based movement and collision logic was one of my CS101 assignments. I remember wrestling with loops at 2 AM, while William now vibe-codes the same logic with joy, confidence, and a fearless sense of ownership. My only contribution? Uploading the finished game to his server so he could host it on his website Hosting this game on my server, because apparently modern dragons not only fly but also need their own homepage. 🌐🐉
So here it is: William’s first game. Drago’s cheesy adventure. A father-son moment wrapped in JavaScript, imagination, and just the right amount of chaos. 💻❤️
If you ever need proof that the next generation is sprinting ahead, just watch a six-year-old program a dragon to chase cheese across screens. The future is not only bright — it’s adorable, fast-moving, and slightly hungry. 😄🔥
